2009/2010 FUNDING GUIDELINES AVAILABLE

Funding Opportunities for Nonprofit Organizations and Artist Collectives

DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2009

The Fulton County Arts Council invites Fulton County-based arts, cultural, and community-based nonprofit organizations as well as artist collectives to apply for funding for the 2009/2010 contract cycle. Funding ranging from $1,000 to $150,000 is available to support arts programming in Fulton County.

The application deadline is Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.  

The guidelines provide information and applications for nonprofit arts organizations that wish to apply for funding from the Fulton County Arts Council for fiscal year 2009-2010 (July 1, 2009-June 30, 2010).

The Funding Categories Overview (listed below) will help you determine your appropriate category.  Application workshop attendance is REQUIRED for all new applicants. Please see below for details.

FUNDING CATEGORIES OVERVIEW

MAJORS

Provides general support to encourage outreach efforts by large Fulton County non-profit arts and cultural organizations. 

ARTS & CULTURE

Provides general and project support for small and mid-sized Fulton County non-profit arts and cultural organizations.

ARTS SERVICES PROVIDERS
Provides general and project support for nonprofit organizations offering specialized services to the arts and culture community.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Provides general and project support for non-profit organizations based in North, South and Southwest Fulton County that provide arts and cultural services for citizens of those communities. 

SMALL & EMERGING ARTS ORGANIZATIONS

Provides capacity building, project support, and technical assistance for small and emerging non-profit arts and cultural organizations and artist collectives. Available for:

  • Fulton County non-profit arts and cultural organizations and artist collectives (i.e., groups of individual artists)  whose primary mission is related to the arts with budgets under $100,000.
  • New organizations that have been incorporated for three (3) years or less.

 MUNICIPALITIES
Provides project support to Fulton County municipalities to support arts and cultural programming in their cities.

WORKSHOPS
Fulton County Arts Council staff will lead workshops in December 2008 that will address the application process and guidelines. All workshops are free to Fulton County-based organizations and artists. Attendance is REQUIRED for all new applicants and seating is limited so advance registration is required.
In addition to an overview of the application process, the workshops are a great opportunity for organizations and groups with current or proposed programs to meet potential collaborators, brainstorm about possible projects and partnerships, and learn more about resources for nonprofit organizations
