Internships

The Fulton County department of Arts and Culture offers college students and transitional professionals year round internship opportunities in the areas of Public Art, Contracts
for Services, and Art Centers.

Public Art

The Public Art internship assists the Public Art Program staff with educational programming, workshop development, program implementation, and the administration and care of the Fulton County Public Art Collection, ongoing research projects may also be assigned. Those selected are expected to compile information from their research and experiences with the program into a report to submit to both their school and the Public Art Coordinator. This is an unpaid internship.  Students may undertake this internship for academic credit, but it is not required.  Click here to download PDF.

Contracts for Services

The Contracts for Services Internship offers professionals in transition, as well as college and graduate school students an opportunity to gain exposure and experience in technology and grants management, funding administration, policy development, and non-profit development. Interns will be exposed to the daily operations of the Fulton County Arts Council. Interns will assist with a variety of projects & activities including our grants management technology upgrade project, application, contract and awards processing, workshop and event coordination.  Click here to download PDF.

Art Center – Abernathy Arts Center: Pottery Specialist

Abernathy Arts Center offers professionals, college and graduate students a short-term work experience in the Pottery studio operations and arts administration areas. Through hands-on experience, interns are exposed to the day-to-day activities of a thriving community arts center, while given the opportunity to explore their own work in a community studio environment.  Interns will assist with a variety of projects -- from studio-oriented tasks including kiln-firing to administrative and gallery installation projects.  Click here to download PDF.
