Funding Categories Overview
Funding is available in the following categories:
Majors
Provides general support to Fulton County-based arts and cultural organizations with operating budgets of $1.5 million and above that exhibit high artistic quality, stable and effective organizational structure, sound financial management, and a strong commitment to programmatic accessibility for all Fulton County citizens.
Arts & Culture
Provides small and mid-sized nonprofit arts and cultural organizations with support for arts and cultural programs that are open to the public and for organizational development activities that will enhance the organization’s ability to present and to produce public programs.
Arts Services Providers
Nonprofit entities with a primary mission to provide specialized services to the arts and cultural community. These organizations may be restricted by discipline, geography, or culture, or may serve the entire arts community. Services offered may include, but are not limited to: professional development and technical assistance.
Community Development
Expands the availability and accessibility of the arts in North, South, and Southwest Fulton County by:
- Encouraging neighborhood arts programming specific to the applicant’s immediate community;
- Encouraging the development and growth of arts and cultural organizations.
- Ensuring that schools, arts/cultural organizations, neighborhood associations, and nonprofit community group have access to Fulton County funding for arts programs and/or arts opportunities.
Small & Emerging Arts Organizations
Support for small and emerging arts and culture organizations, including artist collectives, defined by the Fulton County Arts Council as groups of five (5) or more artists that are producing or presenting arts projects designed to reach undeserved populations.
Municipalities
Provides project support to Fulton County municipalities to identify, support cultural programming for the growth of the cultural landscape in Fulton County.
