Art@Work Gallery

The Art At Work gallery and studio is located in the West End district near downtown Atlanta, District 6 of Fulton County. Exhibit space showcases work created by Art At Work youth  participants and the variety of artistic media they have learned: stained glass, clay, furniture making, painting, glass blowing, printmaking, metalsmithing, jewelry-making, glass fusion, eco-art (repurposed glass, aluminum, wood, furniture, and magazine paper), and uniquely designed carry-all messenger bags.

To provide youth with gallery coordination experience, each participant is assigned a task before and during each exhibit opening: create an artist statement; price, label and install artwork and signage; photograph artwork; assist with gallery sales; conduct tours and workshops; package sold artwork.   These requirements provide them with actual hands-on, job-training experience as a gallery assistant. In that role, teens gain proficiency in management, communication, public speaking, organization, planning and decision making as well as the opportunity to build a portfolio and exhibit in a gallery environment.

Art At Work regularly hosts culminating exhibitions at the end of each quarter.
